Mutilated Afghan girl Aisha gets new nose Asia Aisha\'s new nose is a rare Afghan good news story The Afghan girl featured on a controversial Time magazine cover in the US has been given a new prosthetic nose. Aisha told Time her nose and ears had been cut off - with the approval of a Taliban commander - by her abusive husband as punishment for running away. The front cover generated debate over the headline \"What Happens if We Leave Afghanistan\" and over the use

Palestinian accusation against Israel is not excuse for the violence. You cannot declare that your enemies are bad and because of that you are allowed to treat them with violence. You cannot say that your enemies want to ethnic cleanse you when in fact it is you that have ethnic cleansed them. You cannot start wars against the Israelis and then say that you are justified in killing them because they defend themselves from being killed by you. This should be obvious, but apparently not for you.

CRASH HAMAS!!! US Observer (1 year 4 months ago)

The Gazans who are interested in normal life must rise against their oppressors and jailers Hamas, and recognize Israel as the Jewish State. Then the Middle East misery will end.

Base your optimism on facts. US Observer (1 year 4 months ago)

In the middle east the enemy of my enemy is my friend and a MUTUAL interest is a good basis for success. Hamas is an enemy of one and a competitor of the other hence is the unwilling catalyst of potential success of the peace talks. Hamas in calling for a renewed armed struggle risks the economic gains achieved in stabilty in the west bank as compared to gaza, and will probably start to target fatah \"traitors\" hence like in iraq most of the victims of the islamic terr

We are care. But please, keep in your mind, a few years after the extermination of Six Million Jewish men women and children in Europe, the Arab states decided to expel 900,000 of their own indigenous Jewish populations, and indigenous Jews within Palestine had been persecuted by Muslim zealots way before the creation of the state of Israel, why is everything so black and white in your mind?

Morons US Observer (1 year 4 months ago)

The West Bank has no status and to suggest a Jew cannot live there but any other race can is purely anti-Semitic. Under international law none of the jewsh towns and villages there are illegal. The Geneva convention does not apply as the west bank is not sovereign land, and even if it was would not apply anyway as none of the Jews there were forced to live there. Yet again, more nonsense and propaganda pushed by anti-Semites.

Hamas has no inrerest in talks- US Observer (1 year 4 months ago)

its objective, * clearly stated in its charter, is the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews wherever it can find them. This is an organization so extreme that even its putative partners in an unlikely Palestinian state are terrified to travel to Gaza to meet with them - Abbas fears for his life unless he meets them in an environment where their thugs cannot simply eliminate them. It is an organization so extreme that its fellow Arabs, the Egyptia

Peace negotiations?.Go Israel! US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

Go ahead and talk with a terrorist entities which has been launching rockets into Israel for....how many years? who kidnapped and continue to hold an Israeli soldier who even Goldstone described as a prisoner of war and who is in captivity for 5 years, a still not allowed to visit (not that i\'ve seen them make an effort)? whose leader has said that he likes the idea of israel because it means all the jews are in one place (obviously so he can go and give them all a big hug....)?....jayzus h..

What crime did Gaza commit?II US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

The crime of teaching children to hate with internalised fury, so that each generation has only anger to make its way in the world, anger, and a life dependent upon the charity of others, well meaning but hopelessly naïve, who fuel their eternal conviction that all their ills are consequent upon the malice of others and especially the malice of the Jews.

Shifting blame. US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

the pro-Israelis will not convince or change the minds of the Israel-haters and vice versa. This is not a debate and there is no rational discussion taking place. Historical revisionism rules the roost and any trumped up allegation against Israel is fair game. It is about taking sides and numbers. I support Israel as a legitimate state and will criticise it but not in this hate-filled environment - it is not safe. We won\'t change each other so lets not pretend we respect each other and want t

Don\'t let Arab leaders to delude US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

you........President Abbas has been stalling for years. His main focus should be on building a state for his people, and not on abiding to the Arab League\'s agenda. Does he really think that Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the scoundrels care whether he has a nation or not? No, they don\'t. All they care about is to have an excuse to fight Israel, try to insult its integrity and try to deny its right to exist and defend itse

The Lebanese army has now US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

placed themselves on the same level as Hamas. So you are right, madame, to demand that the Lebanese army be treated accordingly. For that matter, we are still formally at war with Lebanon, so there is no legal obstacle to resuming full-scale hostilities at any time. Except that you are trying to be sarcastic, not realizing that there is a VAST difference between a UN-monitored cease-fire between two sovereign states and a hostile border between a state and an illegitimate terrorist entity, gover

A challenge to the constitution Salafism is a strain of Islam that comes from the Arabic word Salaf, or \"ancestor,\" and seeks to revive Islam as its followers believe it was practiced during the time of the Prophet Muhammad. Phillip Holtmann, a researcher at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, said \"Salaf\' wants spread Islam throw violens.

According to the Oslo Accords, US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

the security forces are under the authority of the President of the PNA, so Hamas attempt to control them was de fact a coup. Hamas won the parliamentary elections, not the presidency, so they were in the wrong there. On Fatah\'s side, it\'s true that they were not behaving very nicely (to say the least) towards elected representatives of the opposite party, but to put all the guilt on them is to tell just part of the story. The sad thing is that if you look at the events of 20

Muslim crimes US Observer (1 year 5 months ago)

Nasrullah, said last week that members of his group would be among those indicted by the tribunal, which he dismissed as an “Israeli plot.” Many in Lebanon have worried that if the tribunal implicates Hizbullah, it could lead to another round of clashes between Lebanon’s Shi’ite and Sunni communities, like the bloody conflict that convulsed Beirut in 2008.

The vast majority in the UK and the rest of Europe are vehemently opposed to Islamization, and specifically to Turkey\'s entry into the EU. It sounds like Cameron is trying to soften us up for Turkish accession, but this time he\'s bitten off more than he can chew. He will fail.
